MAT 1100 - Mathematical Literacy for College Students

This course is designed to be a foundation for students preparing to take MGF 1106, MGF 1107, MGF 1130, MGF 1131, or STA 2023. Emphasis will be placed on the application of linear equations and inequalities, systems of linear equations and quadratic equations. Topics include real numbers and their properties, products and factoring, graphs and functions, counting methods, descriptive statistics as well as introduction to probability, and financial mathematics. Students who already have credit for MAT 1033 do not need to take this course.
