TDR 0001 - Introduction to Drafting 60 con. hrs. Contact Hours: 60 Occupational Credits: 2
This course will be taught alongside the Introduction to AutoCAD course and will allow you to apply skills learned in this course to the computer-aided drafting world. You will also learn the terminology, techniques, and bases for design in this course. The concepts introduced in this course will provide a foundation for you to build on with the rest of the courses in the Drafting program. Some of the concepts that will be covered will align with the Introduction to AutoCAD course such as orthographic drawing, multi-view drawing, and isometric drawing to name a few. This course is designed to help you visualize 3D objects as represented by 2D drawing views, visualize 2D drawing views, and create a 3D drawing view. This course will also cover job opportunities available to drafters and the various responsibilities drafters may be assigned.
