This lab extends the application skills developed from the Network Support Services I lab. Lab work will center on network connectivity, configuration of protocols using standards for LANs, Ethernet topologies, TCP/IP addressing, dynamic routing, routing, and the network administrator’s role and function. Particular emphasis will be given to the use of problem-solving techniques in applying science, mathematics, communications, and troubleshooting methods to solve networking problems. In addition, practice is provided in the proper care, safety, maintenance, and use of networking software, tools, and equipment, and all local, state and federal safety, building, and environment codes and regulations.
