MCB 2010C - Microbiology 4 cr. hrs. Credit Hours: 4
This course includes studying the microorganism’s structure, diversity, and impact on man and the environment. It will survey microbial forms emphasizing bacteria and viruses: morphology, physiology, genetic mechanisms, and control of microorganisms. Pathogenic processes and clinical applications are discussed in detail. Upon completion, you should be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills, including microscopy, aseptic technique, staining, culture methods, and identification of microorganisms.

Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of any college-level biological science course or Instructor’s Approval. Corequisite(s): MCB 2010L
