This course is a survey of major periods and types of literature from the Renaissance to the present day with a focus on the Western Canon. Cultural backgrounds, trends, and genre and style characteristics are emphasized. You are required to demonstrate college-level English skills through multiple assignments and earn a grade of C or higher in this course.
