This course is a continuation of DEH 2804 and is the fourth term of direct patient care, which emphasizes quality patient care, time management, and communication skills. You will continue to perform clinical activities for the prevention of oral disease, including patient assessment, treatment planning, scaling and debriding soft and hard deposits, use of ultrasonic and air-polisher, oral irrigation with antimicrobial agents, and oral home care instructions. You are required to successfully complete a number of advanced procedures.
