This course introduces you to the study of the pharmacology of agents used in dentistry for local anesthesia and pain control. Topics include the pharmacokinetics of local anesthetics, nonnarcotic analgesics, narcotic analgesics, sedative-hypnotics, nitrous oxide, and oxygen conscious sedation (as mandated in the Florida State Administrative Code Chapter 64B-14).
